Sorry, I apologise. I have clearly been writing this straight after trying to create some test prints of TEOWAD EP1.
Which was much more involved than I thought it should be.
But perhaps I am the problem.
Perhaps it’s just my expectations in the age of flying metal boats with wings, advanced toothpicks and computers that say “Yes, the way you’ve used ‘lorem ipsum’ is truly amazing!” whilst other machines still simply say “No.” without any further comment.
Maybe it should need about thirty years of experience in Photoshop…
and an incalculable amount of learning linux-based terminal commands?
Perhaps it should need three different flavours of PDF, and a degree (that I don’t have) in colour profiles.
It could also be possible that we need an inter-planetary task force, one geared towards explaining font licensing to the average sentient being.
The process might additionally need scarily bad ‘call to action’ text on buttons, that make you think you are about publish the entire FBI back-catalogue ready for distribution. Rather than just allowing you to print a few ‘mostly harmless’ copies of a soon-to-be actual book.
It might need all that.
But I doubt it.
What’s that I hear you say? I should have used XYZ rather than ABC?
Oh, I’m sure I could have found fault with XYZ if using that system for long enough.
So, it probably is just my perspective getting in the way.
I guess I’ll try again in a minute.
However, the fact I find: building websites, editing videos, launching web infrastructure, creating my own sound effects, splicing/layering background music, writing a novel and even editing a novel… all the more intuitive and easier than online printing, might say something.
Really thought I’d simply be able to print few books,
without being signed up for the next trip to Mars.
